OVERVIEW
Who it's for
Most residential cleaning searches in Perth end up on a marketplace, a cost-guide listicle, or a franchise page that reads the same regardless of which city it's for. None of the three actually tells you who is coming into your home, what they'll do while they're there, or what happens if the cleaner rostered on your job changes every fortnight.
Genre Solutions is owner-operated. Wherever the roster allows, the same cleaner is assigned to your home each visit — the person who learns where things are kept and what matters to you is the person who turns up, rather than a rotating name from a booking app. We agree a written, room-by-room scope before the first clean, so both sides know exactly what is and isn’t included, and we don’t leave that as a verbal understanding that drifts over time.
We clean houses, units and townhouses across the Perth metro — from a weekly or fortnightly regular clean to a one-off deep clean, spring clean or pre-sale tidy-up ahead of a home open. There's no lock-in contract: a regular clean can be paused, rescheduled or stopped without a cancellation process designed to make that difficult.
Busy households, landlords and tenants across the Perth metro.

COMMON PROBLEMS
Common problems we solve
- A different cleaner every visit, with no continuityWe assign the same cleaner to your home wherever the roster allows, so you’re not re-explaining your home and your preferences every fortnight.
- Not knowing what a "standard clean" actually coversWe agree a written room-by-room scope up front — including what’s excluded — so there’s no ambiguity about what each visit covers.
- Anxiety about keys, codes and who has access to your homeWe agree how keys or codes are handled before the first visit, and who on our side has access — a detail most residential cleaning pages don’t address at all.
- Needing to fit cleaning around a busy or changing scheduleWeekly, fortnightly or one-off bookings, with straightforward rescheduling and no lock-in contract if your circumstances change.
- Bore-water iron staining on glass, frames and alfresco pavingPerth’s iron-rich bore water leaves rust-coloured staining that a standard clean won’t shift — we can pair a house clean with a pressure cleaning visit for those exterior surfaces.
- Not knowing which type of clean you actually needWe help you pick the right service from the ladder below rather than quoting a generic "clean" and leaving you to guess.
AT A GLANCE
Which clean do you need?
| Service | When to book it |
|---|---|
| Regular clean (weekly / fortnightly) | Ongoing upkeep between deeper cleans — the day-to-day maintenance clean |
| One-off deep clean | A first clean, or when the home needs more attention than a regular clean covers |
| Spring clean | A seasonal reset — inside cupboards, skirtings, light fittings and detail work |
| Pre-sale / pre-inspection clean | Ahead of a home open or agent inspection, focused on presentation |
| End of lease / vacate clean | Moving out of a rental — see our dedicated end of lease cleaning page |
| Post-renovation clean | After building or trade work — see our dedicated builders cleaning page |
This is our own service ladder, not an industry classification — we’ll help you pick the right one at quote stage.
HOW IT WORKS
How it works
Get a quote
Tell us your home size, frequency and any priorities. We provide a clear price based on the actual scope — no vague hourly estimate.
Agree the checklist
We confirm exactly what each clean covers, room by room, including what’s excluded, so expectations are shared and documented.
Agree keys and access
We agree upfront how access works — key, code or you home to let us in — and who on our side holds that access.
Ongoing or as needed
Stick to a regular program or book one-off cleans as required — no lock-in contract, just consistent results from the same cleaner.
IN DETAIL
What makes this different
Keys, codes and who is actually in your home
Handing over a key or door code is one of the biggest unspoken hesitations in booking a house cleaner, and it’s rarely addressed directly on a cleaning company’s website. We agree access arrangements before the first visit — whether that’s a key held securely between visits, a code shared for that day only, or you being home to let us in — and the same cleaner assigned to your home is the person who uses it, not an unnamed rostered substitute.
Perth specifics: sand, bore water and a wet winter
Perth’s sandy soils mean fine, tracked-in sand is the most common abrasive soil in local homes — it works its way into carpet pile and grinds against timber and vinyl flooring under foot traffic, which is part of why entry matting and a vacuum-first sequence in high-traffic rooms genuinely matter here more than in other cities.
The other Perth-specific pattern is seasonal: roughly three-quarters of the city’s annual rainfall falls between May and September, and that concentrated wet season is when mould and mildew tend to build up in bathrooms, laundries and other poorly ventilated spaces. A regular clean through winter is less about appearance and more about staying ahead of that build-up before it takes hold.
Alfresco areas are effectively an extra room in a lot of Perth homes, and they’re commonly left out of a standard cleaning scope entirely. We treat alfresco as part of the conversation when we agree scope, rather than assuming it’s someone else’s job by default.
